England enter Euro 2024 as favorites with a formidable squad
Manager Gareth Southgate has announced the final 26-man England squad for this summer's UEFA EURO 2024 tournament in Germany. The squad includes a host of familiar faces, as well as some surprise inclusions. Southgate has selected a balanced squad with a good mix of experience and youth.
The Three Lions enter the tournament as favorites, having reached the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the final of Euro 2020. Southgate has a wealth of talent to choose from, and he has selected a squad that he believes can win the tournament.
The squad numbers which England's players will wear at Euro 2024 have also been confirmed. Captain Harry Kane will wear the number 9 shirt, while vice-captain Jordan Henderson will wear the number 8 shirt. England will begin their Euro 2024 campaign on June 14th against Croatia at Wembley Stadium. They will then face Scotland on June 19th at Hampden Park, before concluding their group stage campaign against the Czech Republic on June 23rd at Wembley Stadium.
